⚠️ IMPORTANT November 2025: The N7 (Tizi n'Test Pass) between Marrakech and Taroudant has been partially severely damaged since the earthquake in September 2023 in the High Atlas. The northern ascent from Marrakech to the pass passes through the earthquake area and is currently a major construction site with a difficult gravel track. The road is passable throughout, but plan significantly more time (approx. +1-2 hours). The southern ascent from Taroudant is in better condition. Recommendation: Check the current condition before starting your journey or bypass the route well to the west via A3/N11 via Agadir (this alternative is also mentioned in our recommended route in the book). The pass itself at 2,100m is in good condition, the campsite Auberge la Haute Vue is open.
